Kindest eyes

South African priest Rene August posed this question, and it has stayed with me since I  met her many months ago on YouTube.

'What would your story (Life) look like if you looked at it through your kindest eyes?'

As we're getting close to the end of the year, the other quote that has lingered and often wiggles a warning finger  is-

'Whatever  you say after the words I AM, will come stalking you !'

So I'm being  mindful about sharing anything about my sore foot, my sore tooth, the roof needing to be repaired, the gear box needing to be replaced!

But when I say I'm loving drawing again,  it's true.    We have two art groups in the area,  both are thriving.  I'm Loving Both.  Does it show?

 So my question to your dear reader is -

 'What would  your story (your biggest challenge) look like if you looked at it through your kindest eyes

Adios Bolivia

After a week back home in Spain, a part of me still hasn't arrived. It's such a strange feeling. A cross between yearning and pining and grief. A part of me was reluctant, not ready to leave Bolivia - that part is still there. And another part of me would like to get on the next plane and start all over again. Eyes wide open. More savvy. Stop-Expecting-Too-Much-from-People, Mrs!

At the end of a radio interview when  69 year old , Jewish, Hungarian born Canadian physician  Gabor Mate was asked ‘ is there more love in your life now?’  he paused. ‘I think there is more space in my heart for love,’  he said quietly.  I think  there is more space in our hearts for love when we pass 60. What we do with that space depends on lots of things. And sometimes that space shuts down ! This morning I was deeply disappointed with our village doctor, again. My heart door slammed shut. There seems to be  a Berlin Wall  wall between us. I cannot communicate with him without judging him, severely.   He speaks to me like I'm a teenager with many serious learning challenges.
